October 22 ,2018 Week #65 Madrid Spain Cuenca Spain "Who's my companion pt. 365/ temple/ my pizza won't freaking cook/read the whole thing"

Well folks it's another sunny 70 something degree day here in paradise.

This past week a lot happened, so the week went by fast but seems like it was forever long. 

Currently I'm making pizza for the first time in the mission, and it won't freaking cook so I'm pretty lit right now.  Update pizza cooked, and it was great. 

But it's all good. On Monday we had intercambios here in Cuenca with the Elderes from ward 6 in Madrid, it was killer, I got to work with the day one Elder Ord so it was pretty legendary. Tuesday intercambios again, with the Zone Leaders this time. We saw miracles with them and ended up with a bunch of people with potential. Then Tuesday night we dashed over to Madrid for the temple on Wednesday, then we spent the day there hanging out. That night we had district meeting and did some work before heading back to Cuenca early Thursday. Thursday was good, we had a few appointments. Friday weekly planning a few appointments. It rained for 48 hours straight Thursday and Friday so we got pretty wet haha, not a whole lot of people wanted to talk but it wss good! Saturday was killer, we had soccer in the morning but no one came, so we left got some stuff done and had a lunch appointment with Martha, she's a beast. Then that night we had a Branch Family Home Evening activity where we had everyone bring food from their own country! So we ended up with food from 8 different countries, and on top of that 10 of our friends (investigators) were there as well! It was a lot of fun and we ate real well! Sunday was great, even though not one of those friends from Saturday night showed at church, and all of our appointments failed, we still saw miracles and found a few people! The work is going good here, hopefully some baptisms in the next few weeks/months (depending). 

This week I was studying, like normal, and I ran into some scriptures that made things very clear for me. In Alma 30 there is a man, his name is Korihor. He is an anti-christ. An anti-christ is anyone who preaches against Jesus Christ and his divine and eternal mission, our guy Korihor did exactly that. He told people that they didn't need a Christ, that there was no point to life, that we live, we die, and that's it. 

(Try translating this into normal English, modern English) 

13 O ye that are bound down under a foolish and a vain hope, why do ye yoke yourselves with such foolish things? Why do ye look for a Christ? For no man can know of anything which is to come.

14 Behold, these things which ye call prophecies, which ye say are handed down by holy prophets, behold, they are foolish traditions of your fathers.

15 How do ye know of their surety? Behold, ye cannot know of things which ye do not see; therefore ye cannot know that there shall be a Christ.

16 Ye look forward and say that ye see a remission of your sins. But behold, it is the effect of a frenzied mind; and this derangement of your minds comes because of the traditions of your fathers, which lead you away into a belief of things which are not so.

That's what we hear constantly in today's world, in the words of John Bytheway "directly from the Korihor advertising agency". By the way (very punny right? Sorry i meant funny.) WE LIVE IN A WORLD FULL OF KORIHORS! They say that we believe in things that arent real, created by some "frenzied mind". You know what I say? That those are their excuses, things created by their frenzied minds to keep their consciences from eating them alive. As i continued reading (turn the page) I found myself among, what I now have labeled in my scriptures as, The Theories of Satan. In verses 17,18,22,23,24,25,27,28,30, and 31. Oh and 43, sign seekers, don't be one of them. 

Well after this Korihor dude received his punishment (he was struck dumb) he said and I quote "I taught them because they were pleasing unto the carnal mind;". Wow, sounds a lot like our world, completely caught up in pleasures. And after that, do you know what he received? For doing the devils work? He was trampled and died. Clear example that the devil never takes care of "his own". 

I testify that the beliefs, principles, and truths that are taught in the restored church of Jesus Christ, are exactly what they say they are, and what their results prove them to be, TRUTHS. I testify that the Good Shepherd DOES take care of his own, he WILL take care of you! I testify that we have a purpose and that Sabath day observance, and regular temple assistance, and worship keep our vision clear and focused on what's TRULY important. 

If your not sure what I've said is true, find it out for yourself, read the Book of Mormon, and pray about it. We might not be able to understand everything right now, but little by little the answers do come! I know that, because it's happened to me, it's changed my life, completely and has done the same to millions of others throughout the world. Read your scriptures, say your prayers, share your testimony, count your blessings, avoid Korihors, be humble, do these things to keep you focused on what's important, go to church and DON'T  EVER GIVE UP! 

The Gospel keeps things clear.
