The Week of the Elect Week #9

This week was absolutely nuts! So some back story, every since I've gotten here in the mission I've told my companion that we need to find the Lord's "elect"
 D&C 33:6 And even so will I gather mine elect from the four quarters of the earth, even as many as will believe in me, and hearken unto my voice.
D&C 29:7 And ye are called to bring to pass the gathering of mine elect; for mine elect hear my voice and harden not their hearts;
Because me being fresh out of the mtc I was gung-ho on taking care of business. My companion gets hung up on every single person, so I constantly reminded that we need to find those that are ready to except the gospel. This week our hard works came to fruition. We finally were able to meet and teach a member referral Christina. So last week when she showed up for her appointment her and the member were in an all out like screaming match so that was super scary but it all calmed down. We had already set a baptismal date with her so after we calmed it down we got to teach a lesson, and another one the next day, and the next, and the next, until we taught everything. She has a really strong Christian back ground so we didn't have any issues and she killed her baptismal interview Friday. So this Saturday we get to baptize her. 13 days from when we began teaching her! Straight crazy, but definitely one of the Lord's elect and has a super strong testimony. So besides her we got 5 crazy strong referrals from other missionaries, and have like 5 more crazy strong futures. We have at least 1 lesson everyday this week. And we had a street contact come to sacrament on Sunday and next week he's bringing he's kids plus were helping him paint his house this week. So another baptism on the way.  So there are good people out there ready to receive the gospel. This week we had exchanges with the zone leaders so we went and slept there and worked in their area. We went down to the riot. Hahaha I know pretty sketch but it was super funny, there is a train that divides the city when it comes through and everyone is protesting it and want it to go under ground. So everyone pretty much just goes down there and talks and smokes while the police keep them off the tracks but its kinda crazy. But really more of a social event haha. So over all it was a pretty good week.

Congrats to my boys at Payson High, keep killing it on the field. And to my boys at the Y I love you guys, keep grinding.

Here's some pics from my week plus a pic of me and elder van moos just so you all know that were really out here haha.

I love all of you!
