Ocxtober 1, 2018 "Under the weather/ Up Up and away/ who's my comp/ I know your area better than you do/ new favorites" Week # 62

Well folks, it's been an interesting week. A lot happened. We traveled a ton. But We saw God's hand daily which is always incredible (for those of you who don't see it in your life, I invite you to look for it.).

We started the week off, after balling last Monday, with companion exchanges. Me and Elder Curtis hit the streets grinding out contacting. All night. It was great and we found a bunch of prepared people. Then Tuesday we did the same all day. I was feeling like an 80 year old man out there with how sore I was hahaha. Wednesday we came back to Cuenca did some work, Thursday as well and then Thursday night we caught the bus back to Madrid haha. Friday was our Zone conference and it was amazing. I woke up Friday morning sick, just with a runny nose but it just didn't stop running lol. Zone conference was incredible, we talked a lot about obedience, and exact obedience, and exact obedience without excuses. I INVITE ALL OF YOU TO THROW AWAY YOUR EXCUSES, be exactly obedient and do what you know you should. Then we had interviews with President Bussey, good stuff. Then we started comp exchanges with the Zone Leaders. So me and Elder Johnson (different one, not my old comp) went out and got after it. Saturday was a killer day, we woke up an hour early to go play spikeball in the church, we arrive and the chapel is full. It's like 7 in the morning, we were sitting there like "uh did somebody forget that today is Saturday not Sunday?" As we walk past I see a  dude stand up at the pulpit, I had to rub my eyes a couple times but it was President Paredes from Murcia. Turns out all the youth from Murcia were at the temple. Along with a few adult leaders of course. It was so cool to be able to see them! Then we worked, and helped out with a baptism than night before heading back to Cuenca. Sunday was great. Had a few people come to church including Daniel, and Giuseppe,  two of our friends! That night we taught Valentin, Daniels twin who had been out of town, and we set a baptismal date with him. 20th of October here we come! Hopefully this week we can help his brother Daniel also set a goal for his baptism, along with a few other people we are teaching!

Well this week I also found a few new favorite things, new fav hymn "Si la vía es penosa". Just a super awesome hymn. But as i was studying this week I read in Jacob 4 (My new favorite chapter in the Book of Mormon), it talks about the importance of reading our scriptures, how to really develop the faith for a strong testimony, how much God loves us, and the importance of humility.

I know that this church is true, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I know it because it's either true or it's false, it's black or its white, it helps us to be better or it doesn't, it teaches true doctrine or it doesn't. I know it is, and it does. I know because I've tried it, but most importantly I've received a testimony from the Holy Ghost, who has testified to me of its truthfulness. I INVITE ALL OF YOU TO ASK GOD OUR FATHER if it is true, and his desires for you. And then be humble enough to listen and OBEY.

I hope you all have a good week, read your scriptures, say your prayers, count your blessings, be humble, be grateful, be obedient, be strong, and don't give up!

I love all of you!
