Elder Tyler Layne Batty
This week felt like a month, legit I cant remember a whole lot of stuff, especially from the beginning of the week. But one things is clear, I was wet the entire week, and remember us missionarys can't swim haha. It's heating up for sure, and the humidity doesnt help. So to say it simply, we've been sweating a lot haha.

Well to start the week we had a partial p day and then caught a bus to Seville to our zone conference to meet our new mission president. Wow what a powerful dude. President and Sister Bussey were running on a mere three hours of sleep and still delivered some of the most powerful messages I've heard. They are both so awesome, and I have a testimony that God puts people where he needs them, to help others. They are both so prepared to tackle this new mission and all the challenges that will come with it. They love to have fun, tease and joke, but when it comes to the Gospel they are "dead serious" about it's roll and purpose. From the mouth of President Bussey they are "light hearted but NOT light headed". And that's super important. You should all take a minute to think a out that.
Wednesday was great we had a killer breakfast with the other Elders, then a lesson with Jenny that absolutely blew me away. She had ran on to some controversial topics, more specifically, Joseph Smith and his multiple wives. So we first asked her if she still believed the Book of Mormon was true, and she said yes. Everything bases in that, if that book is true, then all of our doctrine, and revelation is correct. FIRST thing she did right, she tried to understand better and WENT TO THE TRUE SOURCE OF INFORMATION. SECOND, she remembered kept faith in what she believed to be true. THIRD, she understood that understanding and knowledge takes time and that she can't known it all right now. And instead of doubting her testimony and then leaving the church, she now has a stronger testimony because she understands more! Then we went to Burger King for lunch to celebrate the day in a sub par, Spanish manned, American institution. It was fantastic hehe.
Thursday we did some service, weekly planning, and some studies. Little street work as well.
Friday, soup kitchen, and we swung by to visit the La Linea Crew. Went well, Dolores is progressing, Ana Florín is as strong as ever, Joe is still "waiting to see how things will go" but we keep trying to help him progress, and Carmen is doing good.
Saturday we grinded in the streets, a recent convert (Ana lia) who's been gone for two months to Switzerland working came back, and we had lunch with her and by some miracle her 19 year old son has some interest in spending some time around us which is huge! Then studies and then balled out playing soccer.
Sunday was amazing. Good meetings, but before the meetings started, we had a meeting with the Branch President to create a Branch Mission plan, and were about to do some work for real. Exciting to see how things are progressing and the Lords hand in the work. Then studies and finishes it off with a BBQ with Jimmy ( Branch Mission Leader), his brother Ariel (recent convert), and othrrr brother Hans (non member). That was sick.
Then today we spent on the rock playing with monkeys hehe.
The song we wrote for La Mujer of Elder May (not really his women but we wrote this song so she will be after the mission hehe)
