August 20, 2018 Week #56 " Daily commute to Madrid and Miracles" Cuenca Spain , Madrid Spain Mission

It's a wonderful day here in Madrid with a sunny high of 80 something and a little bit of a breeze. Its been a fantastic week! Today we're here hanging with our zone, bout to play some ball and eat some papa John's. Cool Bridge

This week was sweet. First part we grinded for a couple days and found some cool people with a lot of interest. We were walking out to the new chapel here, haha another one (it's in a super nice area), that's almost finished and we walk  past these two dudes that were talking English and I just say "whats up" and they flip haha. They're like "woah you guys speak English!" SO we start talking with them and they had just gotten to Cuenca that day to play soccer for the professional team here. We taught them about the Book of Mormon and Joseph Smith and we didn't have to ask their numbers because they asked for ours which was sick! Then some other appointments that went well. Member work as well trying to strengthen the branch. 

Then Thursday we do weekly planning and study, and catch a bus to Madrid for zone conference. Get in late and hang out for a sec, we stay with the Zone Leaders and the other Elders in our district in an apartment right next to the temple which is sick. Then Friday we had zone conference which was awesome, got to meet some new people now that the missions are mixed. And President and Sister Bussey are incredible. After conference we had interviews, and they were great. After that we booked it back to the chapel next to the temple for a baptismal interview which was amazing, the young man was very prepared and you could see him radiating his testimony. We stayed the night again and went back to Cuenca Saturday morning. We had a couple appointments then English classes and soccer. 

Sunday church which was good. Then studies and calls then we came back to Madrid haha. 


But in our zone conference President Bussey talked about repentance. Repentance is not the back up plan, it is the plan! Repentance is a lot of times viewed as something negative, but really it's the best way to become better, and to better you life! I testify from experience.

What's up what's up its your favorite door to door salesman out  here doing the Lords work! (If you never saw the Snapchat series I'm sorry you missed out) This week was killer, we straight grinded. We've started a lot of new things lately and there are about to be some changes, were just laying that solid foundation right now. This week we taught a little, our investigator Jenny is practically a member we're just waiting till the week after General Conference to have the baptism. Our boy Juan is doing good, after his contact with missionaries in 92 he hasn't had much more but little by little were watching the spirit change his heart and pique his interest. If Anyone knows of some guy with the last name of Sampson thats from Alpine and is in his 40s, give him my numb.... uh email. Haha it would be cool to reconnect him and Juan after 25 years. January 28, 2019 Week #79 Spain Madrid Mission "Who's yo daddyyyy/ Welcome to my fortress / Baptism "

Good Morning U.S.A.!!  Well what can I say, last week was Christmas and we had a good call with the fam. Now were looking down the barrel of 2019.  It's been a couple great weeks here in Badajoz, there is a ton of potential and we have a couple of friends that are progressing well and will soon have baptismal dates. The branch is great, I've eaten lunch in our flat a total of 4 times since I've gotten here haha. And apart from that they are all incredible when it comes to the work, and we had a really inspiring class from President Vallecio on the changes in the church and how it's going to help the members and the missionary work!  If you can't tell I am excited on a whole other level to get the work going!  This past week we spent Christmas in Cáceres with the other Elders and a matrimony the Hubbs. The Week of the Elect Week #9

This week was absolutely nuts! So some back story, every since I've gotten here in the mission I've told my companion that we need to find the Lord's "elect"  D&C 33:6 And even so will I gather mine elect from the four quarters of the earth, even as many as will believe in me, and hearken unto my voice.  D&C 29:7 And ye are called to bring to pass the gathering of mine elect; for mine elect hear my voice and harden not their hearts; Because me being fresh out of the mtc I was gung-ho on taking care of business. My companion gets hung up on every single person, so I constantly reminded that we need to find those that are ready to except the gospel. This week our hard works came to fruition. We finally were able to meet and teach a member referral Christina.
