June 4 2018 Sacrifice and Service Week #45 Algeciras Malaga Spain Mission

Well this week went by fast, we didn't do a whole ton of teaching but that's not a bad thing because we did do a bunch of service, and a lot of walking haha.

We really have had people drop off, investigators disappear, others not stay true to commitments and so were definitely in the finding stage. People are super laid back so shrugging things off can be pretty easy. Especially when we ask that they change their life, even though it's for the better.

A member here has a little store and we helped her put that back together which was super cool, we changed it all around and then ate hehe. We did a lot of walking and talking with people, you really meet people from all walks of life and it just goes to show that the principles of the Gospel will never lead you wrong, and more than that they will help you in every aspect of life. I see the difference every day. This week we also helped out at the soup kitchen and finally received some questions related to gospel topics which was exciting, hopefully turns into something. We also saw a lot of miracles, especially in the most unexpected moments. God knows his children and what they need and he tries to help them even when they don't want it, but especially when they do want it.

This week as I was studying a theme a found myself returning to was sacrifice. Most people, and this comes from the natural man, don't like to sacrifice. In fact most people hate it, but without sacrifice nothing has value. I think about the things that I've had to sacrifice the most for, they could be the hardest things as well, for me those have the most value. Now when we make a sacrifice for something it adds value to that, but when we don't have to sacrifice anything it leaves the situation without any worth which creates a hunger that can't be sasiated. Thats why some people never can find peace, never can stop searching, and they tend to be the people most self centered. Now when I think of the greatest sacrifice ever, there is one striking person that comes immediately to mind, he happens to be one of the most selfless, leader, teacher, doctor, person the world has ever seen. JESUS CHRIST. He made the ultimate sacrifice, he paid everything, and because of that it was the act of most value ever seen and that will ever be seen on the earth. He added value to us, to our potential, and all he asked so that we as well make token sacrifices in our individual lives to help us grow, learn, and add value to our lives. I testify that sacrifices bring blessings, and I challenge all of you this week to sacrifice as much as possible to have the corresponding blessings.

I love all of you, I know this church is true, I know Jesus lives and loves us, as well as our Father in Heaven. Read your scriptures, say your prayers, count your blessings, be humble, sacrifice, AND WATCH WITH PATIENCE FOR THE MIRACLES AND BLESSINGS THAT WILL COME!

I hope you all have a good week.
