April 9 2018 " Work work work work work" Week #37 Malaga Spain Mission , Algeciras

Cool, another week. Time speeds up, I really hope in adult life after the mish everything doesn't feel like such a blur. As my title alludes this week was a lot of work, but it was fantastic. Time really does fly when your having fun.

So we did a bit of teaching this week we have really been cranking stuff out with less active members but also we have a few investigators of gold. Monday after pday we dropped cinnamon rolls like a B-52, and talked with a bunch of members which was awesome. The cinnamon rolls were a hit, right on target. Tuesday we taught a little bit and had our final district meeting of the transfer. Wednesday we had transfers, it was sad to say goodbye to Elder Stewart, but we got Elder Kärn and he's a stud from Sweden. Friday we worked the soup kitchen, and got to serve the food. Disappointing to see the amount of food these "homeless" people threw away. Please invest your time and money in a worth while cause if you would like to help the people on the street, giving them money doesn't usually do anything for them or for you. A little more effort and your sacrifice could go much further. Saturday we had a good lesson with Joe and him and his son got in a really awkward argument about his sons rapping career haha. And the British accents made it seem like they were just sarcastic the entire time so that was really confusing. Sunday was great, we had a decent amount of people in the church and then a good break the fast meal, with some tasty rice pudding/arroz con leche that had been cooked for 8 hours! Haha it was great. Today we tried to go see the monkeys but apparently as of the first of April there is a 6 euro fee to go up the mountain, and we didn't have cash so we ditched and went to this cool botanical garden and then the weekly trip to Morrison's.

Love. Love should be the force that drives everything we do. If we can identify the desires we have that are based from a true love, not a cheap pleasure or selfishness, but that of a sincere love; these things are the things that matter the most. As it says in Moroni 7:
45 And charity suffereth long, and is kind, and envieth not, and is not puffed up, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil, and rejoiceth not in iniquity but rejoiceth in the truth, beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.
46 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, if ye have not charity, ye are nothing, for charity never faileth. Wherefore, cleave unto charity, which is the greatest of all, for all things must fail—
47 But charity is the pure love of Christ, and it endureth forever; and whoso is found possessed of it at the last day, it shall be well with him.
48 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, pray unto the Father with all the energy of heart, that ye may be filled with this love, which he hath bestowed upon all who are true followers of his Son, Jesus Christ; that ye may become the sons of God; that when he shall appear we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is; that we may have this hope; that we may be purified even as he is pure. Amen.

This pure love of Christ is something that as we work to obtain it, God will give us the gift of it. And when we have this love, we will "have no more disposition to do evil, but to do good continually." I can't stress enough humility, obedience, and love.

BE HUMBLE, STUDY THE SCRIPTURES, SAY YOUR PRAYERS! I love all of you and hope you have a good week.
