April 23, 2018 Malaga Spain Mission , Algeciras Week # 39 "Baptism! Leettttttsssss Gooooooo!"

Well folks, another soul has been saved and saying that should be sufficient for this week's email but I will add a couple other details!

We will start at the beginning of this week's chapter. Tuesday, we had an amazing district meeting and then went to dominos. I don't know if I've mentioned it before but here in Europe dominos has an all you can eat and drink option for only 7.50€ which is killer and doesn't exist in the states because let's be real it wouldn't be too profitable. I pretty sure they groan everytime they see the white shirt crew roll in haha. But anyways we went to dominos and ate some pizzas and stuffed ourselves haha. Then that night we had Jenny's baptismal interview and she killed it! Wednesday we worked in the soup kitchen and I finally remembered to get pictures! Thursday we worked in La Linea and highlight of night was just finding people that are ready for the Gospel. God's hand unmistakably putting them in our path. Maria the lady who who cares for the less active member Dolores has read the Book of Mormon in a matter of weeks and we straight up asked her (based on a prompting to do so) if she wanted to be baptized and she said yes! All she has do to now is come to the church! So hopefully when can get that happening soon! Friday was absolutely fantastic! One of the best days and nights I've had in the mission! We ran a around a bit prepped for the baptism, baked some lemon bars and strawberry bars (my spastic chef side has been coming out more and more since I made the cinnamon rolls) did some weekly planning and then had a baptism! It was amazing. She said in her testimony that she wants "to feel like this for the rest of my life", I testify that she and all of us can if we follow the commandments and partake of the sacrament weekly!  Then we straight chowed, us missionaries brought a bunch of food, (ever had Swedish brownies?) and then Jenny brought the best empanadas I've ever had to her own baptism! Haha she's awesome. Saturday we played soccer in the morning, and worked la Linea again! It was great. Sunday was great as well.

I'm running out of time but I want you all to know about the power of prayerfully studying the scriptures, especially while striving the follow the commandments. Tuesdsy morning while in was reading I had been mulling over a couple problems that had been on my mind for the last couple days and while reading in the Book of Mormon about topics completely unrelated to my problems, I received ideas and answers. There is no denying it, but no one can feel it, learn it, or receive it for you! YOU HAVE TO TRY IT!

I love all of you and hope you have a good week! Be obedient, be thankful, say your prayers, read your scriptures, stay humble and love others!
