Week of Surprises Week # 24 Elder Tyler Layne Batty January 8, 2018
Well this week has been completely crazy. I'll start with today because it's been awesome, but left us with little time. But first...
BIG NEWS:
I'm getting a new comp, Elder Biegel is leaving to a little town a couple hours north called Alcoí. Elder Benedict from my same group is coming which almost never happens. I actually met him at our visa meeting and is a super cool dude so I definitely lucked out.
Next item of business, today we finally met with our long lost recent convert Cristina. We haven't seen her practically since her baptism because she got in a fight with some members and then blocked everyone but one member who was slightly unreliable haha. We ate lunch with her today, and Roman, and our other Venezuelan friend John who we finally got back in contact with as well. It was great.
Next exciting news is we have the group of friends led by Samuel. All four of them have baptism dates and are on track which is crazy, then they brought a fifth friend that we're extending a date to this week which is unreal, and to top it off his uncle received a BOM from us when we passed by, and then asked us for a gospel principles book and Samuel told us he wants to come to church. So the plane is prepped for take off. It's amazing how blessed we are right now.
Next is a little I've been thinking on this week and how blessed the the larger part of us are. The forefathers of the U.S. were greatly inspired, the way the U.S. government works is almost in the manner that Christ taught. "Whoever shall be the greatest, among you shall be your servant." The leaders in the U.S. are really the servants of the people even though they hold the seats of highest recognition and "power". The way that the U.S. government was set up by our forefathers, is how things should be, and it was established in the promise land. No wonder it works so well, it's practically ordained of God. Anything that is good is inspired of God.Now all it needs is our active participation to keep it going, and in the right direction.
