November 6,2017 Tri-zone and some miracles Week # 15

Well folks it's officially fall here in Murcia, the leaves are falling and my spirits are rising cause Christmas is coming! Letttsssss Gooooooo. This past week has felt like two just because of everything that has went on.

Wednesday we had tri-zone conference and that was super cool, we had Elder Bennassar of the seventy come and visit (look him up he has a I'm a Mormon video) and Introduce a new chapter 8 of preach my gospel. It was a good meeting. But, on the train from Murcia to Alicante our phone kinda sorta slipped out of my pocket so it got left behind hahaha. So then after the conference we called it and luckily some nice ladies had picked it up but were out in the middle of nowhere. So we hitched a ride with some other elders who had a car and made them take us all the way out there. And then waited for an hour next to a mortuary. But we got the phone back!

Then Friday we had a interward dessert cook off, and i definitely put some extra pounds on. But afterward we balled out on some kids here who go pretty hard, basketball here is Spain is a different sport, double dribbles are apparently legal, so is traveling, and about everything else you can think of. But they make me look more coordinated than Kyrie irving so I'll let it slide. Saturday night we played soccer and everyone was making fun of the big gringo, until we won like three straight games. They ain't ever met a big white boy like me before.  our investigator Rafael came to play So after we taught a lesson and set a baptismal date for the 2nd of December! So I'm psyched for that. In his closing prayer, Rafael said "thank you for the playing soccer, and elder batty, even though he's savage he's a good guy." So we kinda busted up in the middle of the prayer.

Then we changed in like two minutes and sprinted to the hospital to give a blessing and my legs were completely dead. But the blessing was once of the coolest experiences I've had yet, the lady has heart problems, and her house burned down so she practically has nothing but her husband who is a great guy. In the room there were two beds and the other lady was a Romanian and didn't speak a lick of Spanish or English. So we motioned that we were praying and she kinda got the memo. So we administered the blessing and the spirit was super strong. And the woman we blessed was super thankful and immediately said she felt that everything would be okay and super peaceful and happy which was so cool. Then the Romanian lady put her hand on her own head and motioned us over to give her a blessing. The woman, not knowing what we said, who we were, and what exactly we were doing felt something, something different and something good, something she wanted. So we gave her a blessing and as soon as we finished she opened her eyes and they were filled with tears, she held and kissed our hands. She still had no idea what we had said but she had felt the spirit, and felt the power of the priesthood and that is something will affect her forever.

There is a video that I watched this week called spiritual beings and the human experience. It's about that fact that this mortal state isn't our natural state and that we lived for thousands of years before this life as a spirit. And some others things that I can't really describe, so just go watch the video. It's a Mormon channel program under hope works.

I just know that we have a father in heaven that loves us and wants to bless us, so remember to get on your knees and pray and be thankful. I love all of y'all and hope you have a good week.
