Week #3 Provo MTC August 12, 2017

Hola Todos!

This week was another crazy week, except it went by in a flash! I feel like yesterday was wednesday and were already about to start week four. I never thought id actually say this but im actually starting to somewhat like the mtc. Not that I want to stay here longer than is needed but its actually growing on me.

So starting with a rundown of my week, SundaySunday was fast Sunday and was extremely difficult because instead of minimizing my energy expending activites like i would on a normal fast sunday, i am extremely busy all day long. So when dinner came around i was extremely hungry and pounded a ton of food and felt extremely sick lol. That night we had a devotional with jenny oaks baker and that was super cool, it was more like a concert. Then everyone had to watch Character of Christ which was a little suspicious but for good reason. We got a surprise visit from David A. Bednar and had a Q and A sesh. This week we've played a bit of sand volleyball and that has been a ton of fun and ive also been able to hit the weights which was awesome. Monday night we had a little thing called "pass downs" which is exactly what it sounds like. The missionaries that are leaving soon pass certain things down before they leave. I happened to get the duties of time cop, which entails making sure everyone is in their rooms by 930 lol. My buddy Elder Stocking, the previous time cop is  the one in the UA shirt with the steer skull on it. And then me with my "Tiempo Cop" badge and squirt gun lol. Tuesday was nothing special. Wednesday was a little more exciting we went and studied next to the Moses Mural because of our three hour study session we had that day and while were were up there some hermanas got stuck in the elevator, and someinteresting elders showed up and were trying to talk to the girls in the elevator but they didnt know if they were above the doors or below and were trying to talk through two sets of doors lol. Then we were studying and these guys come over and ask us to be quiet because theyre trying to talk to the sisters. and then one of them has a total freakout on us so we got quiet a laugh out of it. Thursday was exciting we worked the tours for three hours and saw a ton of people. That night was pretty hiliarious, me Elder Christensen and "Captain" Hansen (his first name is camden and his middle names kirk) were chilling eating ice cream, cookies and drinking some chocolate milk by the new fountain as everyone else is headed back to their dorms and we notice a missionary with no tie and no shoes or socks on so we are just thinking he lost a bet or something until it dawns on us... Hes gonna jump in the fountain, and he totally did and rolled across the entire thing lolol! It was so funny and his companion was filming it so while the dude ran off we got up and talked to the comp and the elder was leaving the next day. I mean lets be real as epic as that was, we all know im much too mature to think of doing anything like that hehe. Yesterday was pretty cool too except some dude tried to fight me down in the weightroom when i asked him if he was using a weight lol. But i was practicing contacting people on the street in the evening with my district and i was talking to a "person" about the BOM and how Jesus came to the Americas to teach the people when i remembered i need to share a scripture with him so i randomly opened to 2 Nephi:26 which somehow talks about Jesus teaching the Nephites! I was like WHAAAAT?! Church is true everybody. Es no coincidence es una milagro. This morning had a killer temple sesh and went and played volleyball for an hour and then bball for an hour. This is for all of you who doubt my bball abilities, im getting better, and today absolutley destroyed an entire team with my newly developed euro step (mind you we only play 3v3 lol) but it was sick. Kelton is in here now too so it was good to see a familiar face. I also got a picture with "Flash" and my boy Tui'One, and took some night pics with Elder Randall. He also wrote home just telling his family about my BYU tie clip, so in his next package his grandparents sent him a U one. So yes I will accept BYU swag in packages ;) But we all know whos better, i am determined to convince him to get a BYU one by the end of the mtc Teaching has become so much easier, entire convos are going down in spanish now so yeah you could say im fluent. Jk but this week has been good. lessons and tracting have gotten easier now that i have a semblance of a vocabulary.

I love all of you and miss everybody like crazy, but i know that there are people in Spain waiting for me to break their ankles whether its in bball or soccer, and to dunk them in a pool of water. La Iglesia de JesuCristo de los santos de los ultimos dias es verdad. Yo testifico ese el Libro de Mormon ha cambiado mi vida.
Until next week!
